The operator must ONLY be the variance holder, or a legal employee of the variance holder.


Use only Magnum projector(s) under this variance. They have been certified and reported under the US FDA 21CFR standards, including an approved manufacturer’s variance.


Use ONLY specific laser effects permitted for use with Magnum Lighting projectors.


Audience scanning is strictly prohibited!


Setup protective barriers or other control mechanisms within the 3 meter vertical and 2.5 meter horizontal clearances.


Monitor the show from start to finish and ensure to keep laser beams 3 meters above where the audience can stand.


All laser light shows must be under the direct and personal control of a trained, competent operator.


The operator must ALWAYS be within reach of shutting off the projector either by software interface or by disconnecting the USB cable.


To minimize the potential hazards, the output power of the projector must be reduced to a minimum acceptable brightness level.


Secure mounting of the projector(s) and the projection screen surface (where a separate screen is used) is essential for safe operation.


Do not lose the original user manual for your Magnum Lighting projector.


Place warning signs at the entrances to show area, this includes stage entrances as well as audience entrances.


Always have these required documents on hand during a laser show.


Establish a secure place to store your required show documentation for easy access.


DO NOT use the Magnum Lighting projectors for “open air” shows and NEVER aim the laser at an aircraft.


Plan ahead when and where you intend on using your Magnum Lighting projector.


Don’t forget to file your annual reports !
A variance is granted for 1 yr., though will be extended if annual reports are filed on time.
